Held on the grounds of Castillo San Felipe del Morro at the San Juan National Historic Site, the 11th Annual Artisan Fair will take place Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, 26, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This family-friendly event boasts more than 150 local craftspeople selling their unique wares along with a variety of performers entertaining the always appreciative audience members. Begun in 2005, the Artisan Fair, which costs $5 for adults and is free if you're 16 or younger, features a cool line-up of programs both days. In addition to the ample amount of artisans and peppy performers, you'll be treated to many other interesting things to see and do. Enjoy a myriad of live demonstrations by the artisans as well as informative Ranger Talks. What's more, there will be many interpretive programs presented by the staff of the National Park Service on subjects as varied as the history of musical instruments and local culture.
In addition to the Artisan Fair at Castillo San Felipe del Morro, you'll be able to explore the entire San Juan National Historic Site, which is a World Heritage Site. Discover everything from Castillo San Cristobal and the San Juan Gate to Fort San Juan de la Cruz near the entrance to the bay. Produced by the Municipality of San Juan along with others, the Artisan Fair is a truly unique destination for visitors and locals alike.
